After years building a cult following in the illicit cannabis market in Canada, this iconic brand realized it was high time to shake up the legal market. But how to you re-launch yourself to the masses without selling out to your loyal legacy customers? Working with a partner agency, we helped position this cannabis brand for market domination - with a new brand identity that both honoured its history and set it up for mainstream success
Brand identity
VERBAL BRANDING
The client was transitioning from the illicit market into the legal market, from the shadows into the light. The challenge was maintaining their underground, if-you-know-you-know attitude and appeal. Working closely with their founders, we distilled their story and ethos into a polished brand identity that would position them to take the legal market by storm.
New website
WEBSITE DESIGN
We created the building blocks for their new website with lo-fi wireframes and designed the content architecture throughout the site. Working with a partner agency, we then supported the visual design and development of the finished site.
WEBSITE CONTENT
We drafted, iterated, and ultimately created all new content for the site, to coincide with the client’s launch into market.
Press releases
Working as a strategic media and communications partner for the client, we published 11 tactical press releases. Guiding executives at the company, we interviewed and researched topics, then drafted and finalized the PR in close collaboration with the company. Additionally, we provided media training for staff ahead of magazine and video interviews and brand Q&As.

To support the client’s customer growth goals, we designed email newsletter templates for easy, repeatable mailers. This included a newsletter content strategy, and writing monthly content.
SOCIAL MEDIA
We supported the client to launch new social media channels with content strategy and posting calendar templates.
